About Anne
I’m a counsellor who values listening carefully, creating emotional safety, and working with people at a pace that feels right for them. My approach is calm, compassionate, and steady, with a focus on helping people make sense of what’s happening and find a way forward that feels manageable.
I believe every person brings their own strengths, experiences, and story. My role is to create a supportive space where people feel heard, understood, and able to explore what matters most to them.
My professional journey has spanned health, workplace wellbeing, and counselling, giving me a broad understanding of the ways life’s challenges can influence our wellbeing, relationships, and work. I began my career as an Exercise Physiologist before spending more than 15 years supporting workplace health and wellbeing, partnering with individuals, leaders, and organisations to strengthen employee wellbeing, leadership capability, psychologically healthy workplaces, and successful return-to-work outcomes.
Building on this experience, I completed postgraduate studies in psychology and a Master of Counselling and have worked within Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), supporting employees and leaders through workplace and personal challenges. Together, these experiences allow me to understand the intersection between health, work, relationships, and wellbeing, bringing both a clinical and practical perspective to the people I support.
Today, I work with people across a broad range of personal and professional contexts, including individual counselling, EAP services, leadership support, and clinical and professional supervision. Whatever brings someone to Poppyfield, my aim remains the same—to provide a thoughtful, psychologically safe space where they feel supported to make sense of their experience and move forward in a way that feels manageable.
Finding the right person to work with matters. If you’re wondering whether I’m the right fit, I’d be happy to answer your questions and help you decide whether working together feels right for you.
